Ara nv is a Belgian screen printing company and delivers premium textile transfers across Europe. Since 1971, we have continuously built our expertise, specialising in water-based and silicone based screen printing transfers. With modern production lines and innovative technology, we guarantee premium quality and fast deliveries.
Sustainability is central to our operations: we have been working with water-based inks since 1986 and now produce with energy-efficient equipment powered by our own solar panels. All our transfers are OEKO-TEX® certified.
The history of screen printing company ARA NV
1971 – Founded as a family business
Screen printing Van Houtven opened its doors in 1971 as a traditional, artisanal printing company.
By the late 1970s, transfer printing became our core activity, initially using plastisol inks.
1980’s – International growth
Under the name Ara nv, we specialised in sublimation printing with water-based inks and grew through the 1980s to the mid-2000s into a leading player in the global sports industry.
While we have since phased out our sublimation division, it paved the way for the technology and know-how that make us a leader in textile transfers today.
From 2007 – Focus on water-based screen printing transfers
From 2007, we returned to our roots, focusing entirely on water-based and silicone-based screen printing transfers. Since then, we have expanded our product range and invested heavily in a modern production park, producing top-quality transfers for a wide variety of applications.
Today, we continue to innovate with new technologies and sustainable production methods, ensuring our customers always receive sharp, durable transfers with short lead times.
